Viking Refrigerator Diagnostic Details
Solution Diagnostics Mode allows you to identify the firmware as well as software program variations, test status of “model specific” system elements as well as sensors, and also alter state of elements where suitable (i.e.– compressor on/off, etc.).
Enabling Solution Mode: To allow Service Setting, press and hold the “WARMER” button while pressing the “COLDER” switch 4 times within five seconds.
After going into Solution Setting, the very first number that you will see shows the software design number for the particular system you are servicing. As an example, if you are servicing a 24 inch wine rack (DFUW, DUWC, VUWC), the initial number you will see is 11. See chart listed below for equivalent design as well as software recommendation.
The 2nd number you will certainly see shows the software variation release. For example, if you see 44 on the display panel it shows software application version 4.4.
Diagnostics:
While in Service Setting, press the “SET” switch to step through Examinations 0-9. The first figure of the display will show the test number. The second number shows the current state of each component under test and is shown as “1” getting on, CLOSED, or SHORTED and also “0” being OFF or OPEN. Examinations 0 and 1 expose an open or shorted problem detected at the sensing unit inputs. Examinations 2 via 6 permit you to turn lots ON with the “WARMER” switch as well as OFF with the “COLDER” button. Tests 7 via 9 verify state modification of the door switches and/or magnetic reed sensing unit. The element tests available are explained in Offered Component Examinations graph.
